This pack will breathe new life into your La Free e-bike, giving it more range than it had new. You will need to replace the charger, as the original charger is the wrong voltage. A new charger is not included. We recommend purchasing a UL certified charger that charges to 29.4V.
Soldering and wiring skills are necessary to install this pack. The battery leads are always live, and shorting them would be a bad day. The wires from the old pack will have to be cut off, leaving as much wire as possible, and retaining the charging fuse to use with the new battery. We recommend crimping ring terminals onto the leads, and securing them to the existing terminals. See photos for more info. Check that the crimps are secure. The charge and discharge wires are paralleled at the ring terminals
You will also need to splice the charging cord on your new charger to the old charging connector if you are retaining the original connector in the battery case.
