48V 40A BMS fits U500 case.
This is NOT a direct replacement for the BMS in the U500 battery. The wiring must all be changed, including the sense leads, which will need to be spliced to the included wiring harness. The BMS fits nicely in the plastic cradle used for the original BMS, with a little cutting of some plastic ribs.
1. A temperature switch controls the discharge and shuts off the pack if it reaches 65 degrees C
2. Maximum continuous working current is 40A, and the charging/discharging is the same port. This means that you charge and discharge through the same wire, making it easier to parallel extra packs.
3. A low current switch controls the discharge output
4. LED connection plug, provides power to an LED on indicator. In the case of the U500, this is not powerful enough to light up the green ring around the switch, and we don't recommend hooking it up, as it may damage the BMS.
