The Busch & Müller 701 is available only for left side mounting, and the bottom of the mirror is at about the same height as the top of the hand grip.
The mirror plugs into the end of the handlebar and is tightened with an Allen bolt. The mount pivots on a vertical axis just outside of the handlebar, so that the mirror can pivot on that vertical axis and is far less likely to be damaged if it hits an obstacle. It just swings back into its normal position with a push, and will keep proper alignment.
The diameter of the insert is 17mm

Solid mirror
This is the one. It's well designed and manufactured. At higher speeds even, there's no vibration. It folds inward quite easily as needed. Seems built for my Gazelle!

Busch Muller 701
Mirror had no instructions or adapters for various sized handle bars. Had to modify wedge so it would fit the end of the handlebar of my Tern Vektron Ebike.

Great fold-in mirror
This mirror is great, good vision and can fold in if you are going through narrow openings as well as has some give if you hit something.
