Happy 2016! DIY parts section on line

Lots going on here at Hill Eater getting ready for the spring!  I have added a new tab on the site header for do it yourself e-bike parts and accessories.  Some of these will be applicable to the Juiced bikes, some not so much.  The selection is small right now, but it will be expanding. 

 I bought in a pallet of batteries from Expedition Battery in China, and they have been a good success.  They build stock and custom lithium battery packs. Taking a page from Tesla, They are based on 18650 laptop cells.  Expedition uses Korean and Japanese cells by Samsung, Sony, LG, and Panasonic/Sanyo.  There is a small selection of ready to go batteries here.

I have applied to Transport Canada and received approval to ship these batteries under an "Equivalency Certificate"

Becouse they are custom made to order, these batteries can not reasonably be tested to UN standards for safe shipping, so I have to go the extra mile to make sure they are safe during transport.  These batteries will be shipping to Canadian customers only for now due to shipping restrictions. 

These are called naked battery packs, they need to be mounted in a padded box or bag, and protected from moisture.

If you are interested in a custom made battery pack, please contact me, and I will get you a quote.  Expedition also makes matching frame bags, so you can buy a complete ready to go custom solution.  For small to medium packs they can also build into plastic hard cases that will bolt to the bikes bottle nut mounting location. You can purchase a rear rack with a slide out hard case as well. The plan at this point is to have another pallet of batteries ordered by the end of February, arriving mid April.  I will include a small selection of hard cases and naked pack for sale on line.
